Wind and Window Flower

Wind and Window Flower

LOVERS, forget your love,
And list to the love of these,
She a window flower,
And he a winter breeze.

When the frosty window veil
Was melted down at noon,
And the cagèd yellow bird
Hung over her in tune,

He marked her through the pane,
He could not help but mark,
And only passed her by,
To come again at dark.

He was a winter wind,
Concerned with ice and snow,
Dead weeds and unmated birds,
And little of love could know.

But he sighed upon the sill,
He gave the sash a shake,
As witness all within
Who lay that night awake.

Perchance he half prevailed
To win her for the flight
From the firelit looking-glass
And warm stove-window light.

But the flower leaned aside
And thought of naught to say,
And morning found the breeze
A hundred miles away.

Oh, i love flowers. They are so pretty and i'm quite conditioned with regard to seeing a flower. According to the S-R link, the S(timulus) would of course be the (sun)flower and the R(esponse) would be a bright bright smile. Though i still have no idea what to do with the flowers when they wilt (since i think it's quite pointless to keep the wilted ones, but i also can't bear to throw them away anyway), i love receiving them. I don't really need a huge bouquet, usually just a single stalk would do. Flowers are not cheap anyway, at least not sunflowers.

Sometimes when i day dream, i would think of how i would want my wedding photos to be like. I would love to take them in flower fields, like Thailand/ Taiwan's sunflower field or Holland's or Hokkaido's. I can imagine it to be a hell of an effort but i don't care, i'm going to insist on it haha. And my husband must not chide me about it. He can complain, but only for awhile. Willful wife, i know. THEN. I'll have a pot of gerbera/ sunflower on each of my wedding table :D

Is it just me or girls in general?
